DuraTrack sprockets for Tigercat forestry machines, listed by machine model
The sprocket bolts to the final drive, and its teeth engage the links in the track to turn the drive's rotation into machine motion. DuraTrack sprockets and sprocket segments are listed for Tigercat models including 830C, 870C, 880D, 880E, H855C HD, H855E, L830C, L870C, LH830 and LH855C.
Sprockets are cast steel with the external tooth rim deep induction hardened to more than 50RC. Sprocket segments are forged and through-hardened, supplied in sections of three or five teeth so a worn section can be replaced on its own without taking the track off. Sprocket bolts are 10.9 grade, forged from alloy steel and heat treated to OEM specification.
Three dimensions decide the fit: the inner diameter, which must match the final drive; the number of teeth, which cannot be changed; and the pitch, which must match the track. A 101mm pitch sprocket fits 101mm pitch steel tracks or 52.5mm pitch rubber tracks.
For other forestry machines, see Madill sprockets if the model is not listed here.
Sprocket wear cannot be measured against the original toothing, so compare against an unused sprocket of the same type. Wear increases in reverse and in the higher gears, and a sharp or worn sprocket lets the link slip or jump through the teeth, shock loading the final drive.
