In this guide, we will break down the process of measuring grouser height into simple steps that anyone can follow.

How To Measure Grouser Height

Arrow

Clean off excess dirt from two grousers on the track shoe so they’re as flat as possible.

STEP 1

Arrow

Clean the surface of the pad between the cleaned grousers as well to ensure you get an accurate measurement.

STEP 2

Arrow

Place a ruler over the top of the two grousers.

STEP 3

Arrow

It’s important the ruler is over the middle of the track shoe and not  towards the end to ensure you don’t measure any additional wear that  occurs at the ends.

STEP 4

Arrow

Take another ruler, or preferably a vernier and measure the distance from the ruler to the base of the pad.

STEP 5
