The idler sits at the front of the track frame, guides the track links and, together with the track adjuster, keeps the chain at the correct tension. DuraTrack idler assemblies are listed for Atlas Copco models including PV-271 and PV-275.
Each DuraTrack idler is a cast assembly supplied complete with a heavy-duty seal group, shaft and brackets, manufactured to OEM specification in ISO 9001 approved facilities. The machine model and serial number identify the assembly, and the markings on the side of the old idler confirm the match.
Change the track adjuster at the same time where it is worn. A worn idler can cause a new track adjuster to fail prematurely, and the adjuster is far easier to replace while the idler is off. Track adjusters carry a 12 month warranty when purchased and fitted with a new idler, and 6 months when fitted without one.
