The idler sits at the front of the track frame, guides the track links and, together with the track adjuster, keeps the chain at the correct tension. DuraTrack idler assemblies are listed for Link-Belt models including 75 X3, 130 X2, 130LX, 145 X3 with dozer blade, 160 X2, 160LX, 210 X3, 235 X3, 240LX and 250 X4. Each DuraTrack idler is a cast assembly supplied complete with a heavy-duty seal group, shaft and brackets, manufactured to OEM specification in ISO 9001 approved facilities. The machine model and serial number identify the assembly, and the markings on the side of the old idler confirm the match.

Change the track adjuster at the same time where it is worn. A worn idler can cause a new track adjuster to fail prematurely, and the adjuster is far easier to replace while the idler is off. Track adjusters carry a 12 month warranty when purchased and fitted with a new idler, and 6 months when fitted without one.
