Bottom rollers for excavators and dozers

Bottom rollers (track rollers) run along the chain rails and carry the weight of the machine. DuraTrack bottom rollers are available in single flange and double flange types, manufactured to OEM specification in ISO 9001 approved facilities.

Construction

• Forged roller shells, friction welded or submerged arc welded, heat treated by differential quenching or through hardening
• Shafts in forged alloy or rolled carbon steel, hardened
• Roller bolts are 10.9 grade, forged from alloy steel and heat treated to OEM specification

Fitting advice

Always change all bottom rollers together. A single new roller sits proud of the worn set and increases the wear rate on the new part and the chain. Double flange rollers give more link guidance; most dozers run a mixture of single and double flange, so match the pattern already on the machine.

Worn rollers show as indentations on the internal rail surface and side wear on the pin bosses of the chain. If those are present, replace the rollers before the links reach full wear.
