How do I know when my excavator undercarriage needs replacing?
The key indicators are track sag, worn or pointed sprocket teeth, excessive play in rollers and idlers, and visible damage to the chain links. Astrak offers professional undercarriage inspections to assess component wear and provide a detailed report with replacement recommendations.
Do you offer same-day shipping on excavator parts to site?
Yes. All stocked parts are shipped the same day when ordered before 4:30pm CT, direct to your site address.
Should I use rubber or steel tracks for groundworks?
Rubber tracks suit machines working across mixed surfaces including finished hardstanding, road crossings and sensitive ground. Steel tracks are better suited to heavy dig and highly abrasive conditions. Astrak stocks both and can advise on the right solution for your application.
What size machines do you offer the track group exchange service for?
Astrak's track group exchange service is currently available for 13t and 20t excavators. We assemble the track groups in our purpose-built workshop and deliver directly to site, so you can keep working right up until changeover.
