DuraLine Rubber Pads
Bolt-On Rubber Pads
A bolt-on pad bolts through the existing steel track shoe, so it is a semi-permanent conversion rather than one designed to come on and off between jobs. It lets the machine work on asphalt, concrete hardstanding and block paving without damaging them.
Astrak supplies DuraLine and DuraLine Plus bolt-on pads in widths from 400mm to 600mm for excavators from 4 to 26 tonnes, on link pitches of 135mm, 154mm, 171mm and 190mm. Every pad is supplied with its specified bolt torque. DuraLine Plus is the premium range: DuraLine Plus Pads offer 52% more durability than standard pads based on independent abrasion analysis.
- Bolts through the existing shoe, with no clamp or bracket on the chain
- Widths from 400mm to 600mm, for machines from 4 to 26 tonnes
- Torque figures from 85Nm to 435Nm depending on the pad
- Next-working-day delivery from stock
Delivery & Fitting
DuraLine Plus Bolt-On Sizes & Torques
The pad is set by the machine weight class, the width of the track shoe and the link pitch of the chain. Torque differs by pad, so read it off the row rather than from the last set fitted.
| Machine weight | Product code | Pad width | Link pitch | Bolt torque |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4T to 6T | DP400/135/B1 | 400mm | 135mm | 85Nm |
| 6T to 9T | DP450/154/B2 | 450mm | 154mm | 140Nm |
| 9T to 15T | DP500/171/B1 | 500mm | 171mm | 215Nm |
| 9T to 15T | DP600/171/B1 | 600mm | 171mm | 215Nm |
| 15T to 26T | DP600/190/B1 | 600mm | 190mm | 435Nm |
Scroll the table sideways to see every column.
Product codes read as width, link pitch, then style: DP600/190/B1 is a 600mm bolt-on pad for a 190mm pitch chain. If your machine is not on this list, send the make, model and shoe width and we will check it against our product reference guide.
Bolt-On, Clip-On or Roadliner?
All three styles do the same job. What separates them is how often the pads have to come off.
- Bolt-on, 4 to 26 tonnes, 400mm to 600mm. Bolts through the shoe, with nothing clamped or bracketed on to the chain. A semi-permanent conversion, for machines where the pads stay on.
- Clip-on, 9 to 26 tonnes, 500mm to 800mm. A fixed bracket one side and a clamp the other, fitted in half the time of conventional pads, for machines that move between road work and dirt.
- Roadliner, 4 to 26 tonnes, 400mm to 600mm. A one-piece vulcanised pad that bolts directly to the chain in place of the shoe.
Bolt-on pads need a predrilled track shoe, because the pad bolts through it. If the shoes are close to their wear limit, fit the pads to new predrilled shoes rather than to shoes due for replacement. DuraTrack triple grouser shoes are supplied from 300mm to 1200mm with a predrilled option, and non-standard sizes for bespoke applications on request.
Whichever style you choose, the chain underneath decides how long the job lasts. A free undercarriage inspection measures chain stretch, rail height and grouser height and reports the wear percentage of each, so pads go onto a chain with life left in it.
