Astrak has supplied rubber tracks since 2003. Our TerraTrack range covers widths from 180mm to 800mm for mini and midi diggers, tracked dumpers and compact track loaders, and includes non-marking tracks for finished surfaces. More than 8,000 rubber tracks are listed online, manufactured in ISO 9001 approved production facilities and covered by a 24-month warranty as standard.

Rubber tracks or steel tracks?
Rubber tracks are the standard fit on mini and midi diggers, tracked dumpers and compact track loaders, and the right choice where finished surfaces need protecting.
For abrasive ground and heavy-duty work we stock DuraTrack excavator track chains and pre-assembled track groups. To keep a steel chain but still work on roads and hard standing, DuraLine Plus rubber pads bolt or clip straight to it, and independent test results show them to be 52% more durable than standard quality rubber pads.
The TerraTrack ranges
TerraTrack is our core range, produced from moulds incorporating the latest robotic technology and manufactured to OEM specification: premium grade rubber compound, heavy duty carcass, toughened steel links, high tensile steel cords and a unique tread design.
TerraTrack Plus is the premium tier. Toughened steel links are connected by continuously wound anti-rust high tensile steel cords encased in an advanced abrasion-resistant rubber carcass. The interlocking steel link design prevents detracking issues even when used on demanding terrains, and the advanced steel link design ensures the smooth running of track rollers and offers increased operator comfort.

How to find your rubber track size
Rubber tracks are sized by three figures: width, pitch and number of links.

- Width is the overall width of the track in millimetres. Astrak stocks 180mm to 800mm.
- Pitch is the distance in millimetres between the centre of one steel link and the centre of the next.
- Links is the total number of steel links in the track.
The size is usually moulded into the inside face of your existing track. If it has worn away, send us the machine make, model and serial number and we will identify the correct track for you.

Rubber Track FAQs
What are the tracks on a digger called?
The continuous rubber belts a mini or midi digger runs on are called rubber tracks. Inside the rubber are steel links, which the sprocket engages to drive the machine, and steel cords that carry the load. The steel equivalent, used on larger and heavier machines, is a track chain fitted with track shoes.
How much do digger tracks cost?
Price depends on the size of the track, the number of links and whether you choose TerraTrack or the premium TerraTrack Plus range. Send us your machine make and model, or the size from your existing track, and we will quote you competitively on the correct part.
How long do rubber tracks last?
Track life depends on the hours worked, the ground conditions and how the machine is operated. A track running at the wrong tension will wear faster than one set correctly, and material packed in the undercarriage accelerates wear on the links and the sprocket. Our free track inspection service gives you a wear report and the corrective actions rather than an estimate.
Why do digger tracks come off?
Detracking is usually a symptom rather than a fault with the track itself. The common causes are a loss of track tension from a failed adjuster, worn sprockets, rollers or idlers, material packed in the undercarriage, the wrong pitch fitted, and working habits such as consistently turning in one direction or running across a side slope. Do you supply non-marking rubber tracks?
Yes. A wide selection of non-marking rubber tracks is available for work on finished surfaces such as block paving, concrete and indoor floors. Tell us the machine and the surface you are working on and the team will confirm the options.
What do I do with my old rubber tracks?
Astrak runs a fully certified UK-wide rubber track recycling service, including certified waste transfer notes and transport, so worn tracks are collected and recycled rather than stockpiled on site.
