The track adjuster, also called the track tensioner or recoil spring assembly, sits in the undercarriage frame between the bulkhead and the idler and keeps the track correctly tensioned. Each assembly combines a grease-filled tensioning piston that sets the tension when grease is pumped through the fitting, a spring pack that absorbs impact as the track meets obstacles, and a yoke that bolts to the idler side arms. All DuraTrack track adjusters are manufactured to OEM specification and inspected throughout manufacture to ensure correct fit and performance.

A track adjuster installed with a new idler carries a 12-month warranty; we confirm the term when we quote. A worn idler can cause a new adjuster to fail prematurely, and it is also far easier to replace the adjuster while the idler is being changed.
