Each segment is forged and through hardened, with tooth profiles induction hardened to over 50RC, and built to OEM specification in ISO 9001 approved facilities. Sections of three or five teeth bolt on individually, so a worn section is changed without removing the track.

Segments change between models, and often between serial number ranges of the same model. Five details let our team confirm the right part before it ships.

Sprocket Segment Wear: What to Look For
Hold an unused segment of the same type against the worn one. The original tooth profile is the part that has worn away, so a side by side comparison shows the loss more clearly than any measurement of the old part alone.
- Hooked teeth that are no longer symmetrical
- Sharp or pointed tooth tips
- Track chain slipping or jumping the segments under load, which shock loads the final drive
- Flat spots on the chain bushings where the teeth run
- Packed material between the teeth stopping the bushings from seating
Running in reverse and in high gear speeds up segment wear, and so do track shoes wider than the job needs. Run the narrowest shoe that still floats the machine and keep the track at the correct tension.
