DuraTrack Undercarriage
Excavator Track Rollers
A complete range of bottom rollers is available, compatible with all tracked machinery. The rollers are engineered to effectively transfer machine weight through the undercarriage and tracks to the ground, minimising operational forces and supporting optimal performance across a wide range of applications.
Track rollers, also called bottom rollers, sit along the underside of the track frame, between the frame and the part of the track on the ground. Reinforced flanges and heavy-duty seals increase their reliability.
- Single flange and double flange track rollers
- Listed by machine make and model, for more than 100 machine makes
- Manufactured to OEM specification in ISO 9001 approved facilities
- Next-working-day delivery from UK stock

How to Identify a Track Roller
The machine identifies the roller. Send what you can and we confirm the rest against our product reference guide before quoting.
| What to send | Where to find it | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Machine make, model and serial number | The manufacturer's data plate on the machine. | Track rollers are listed by machine model, and variants within a model can take a different roller. |
| OEM part number, if you have it | The parts book, or the markings on the side of the old roller. | The OEM number confirms the match directly. |
| Number of track rollers on each side | Count them along the bottom of the track frame. | Confirms the undercarriage layout and how many rollers to order, since they are changed as a set. |
| Single or double flange, and track shoe width | Look at the old rollers; measure the shoe width in millimetres. | A double flange roller gives more guidance to the track link, and dozers normally run a mixture of the two. The shoe width confirms the undercarriage the rollers run in. |

What Wears a Track Roller Out
Track roller wear shows on the tread and the flanges, where the track links run over it. Four things speed it up.
- Wide track shoes: they increase link, roller and idler tread and flange wear. Use the narrowest shoe that still gives good flotation.
- Packing: material that sticks to the rollers and packs between them and the links stops the parts engaging correctly and increases wear. Keep the undercarriage clean.
- Incorrect track tension: a track that is too tight or too slack wears every mating component, the track rollers included.
- One new roller among worn ones: it sits proud of the others and increases the wear rate. Change the bottom rollers as a set.
Worn track rollers are also one of the causes of a chain jumping on the sprocket, and track guards help. If the link pin bosses show side wear before the links are fully worn, the rollers want replacing.
Track rollers are best checked at the same time as the carrier rollers. Our free undercarriage inspection measures the bottom rollers and top rollers against new dimensions and reports their wear alongside the chain, idlers and sprockets.

Change the Track Rollers, Check the Rest
Three things worth looking at at the same time as the track rollers.
Carrier Rollers
Carrier rollers, also called top rollers, sit on top of the frame and wear on the same tread and flanges. Check them while the track rollers are being changed.
Carrier rollers
Track Chains
The links run on the roller treads, so link rail wear and roller wear go together. Check the chain at the same time.

Free Undercarriage Inspection
We measure every undercarriage component and give you a written wear report with the corrective actions, so the track rollers are changed once, with the parts around them, rather than twice.
